Oscar Gräsbeck

Oscar studied at Helsinki Pop & Jazz Conservatory and graduated as Professional Musician in 2015. He studied classical piano under Tiina Karakorpi at Espoon Musiikkiopisto for 9 years. During High School he changed course towards popular music playing piano and singing in several different bands. He is known to be quite flexible performing stylistically anything between Sibelius’ Finlandia to Alligator Crawl by Fats Waller. He plays mostly with his own jazz trio and freelances as pianist, keyboardist and singer in various setups.

Suvi Lehtonen-Gräsbeck

The soprano and kantele player Suvi Lehtonen-Gräsbeck is the wife of Folke Gräsbeck, and they have naturally performed a lot together. In the year of 2001, Suvi Lehtonen-Gräsbeck played the World Première Performance of Sibelius’s two only original works for kantele (Finland’s national instrument), Dolcissimo and Moderato. Since then, she has included these pieces in many performances, including concerts at the International Sibelius Conference in Texas, The Rencontres Musicales de Figeac (France), The First Sibelius Festival Golfo del Tigullio (Italy), etc.

Sometimes Suvi Lehtonen-Gräsbeck and Folke Gräsbeck perform full concerts of Hebrew Songs, which Suvi has been collecting since she was 9 years old. Their CD discs have received a lot of positive attention:

The Song of the Songs (JCD-26 JUBAL)

The Desert Shall Rejoice (GRCD001)
